Position Summary:

No Prior Experience Necessary, Comprehensive Training Provided

As a Junior AML Compliance Analyst (internally referred to as Associate Analyst I), you will engage with our diverse clientele, including both banking and non-banking sectors, to scrutinize financial transactions and reduce risks linked to financial misconduct. Your responsibilities will include identifying and probing unusual financial activities to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies, which encompass conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) assessments.

This role demands a high level of discretion and sound judgment, along with the ability to operate effectively and autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and track transactional activities to detect potential suspicious behavior.
  • Confirm client identities and evaluate their affiliations with financial entities for KYC compliance.
  • Understand and apply client-operating guidelines concerning financial information.
  • Spot data irregularities and warning signs related to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations, escalating findings for further review.
  • Follow established timelines and protocols to ensure prompt and precise task completion.
  • Prepare written reports for assessment by internal quality control teams and adjust based on their feedback.
  • Achieve production and quality benchmarks while collaborating in a team-focused setting.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, company policies, and client requirements regarding Anti-Money Laundering.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
  • Must reside within a specified distance from designated offices.
  • Skilled in producing clear and concise written narratives and summaries, effectively communicating recommendations and conclusions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Open to constructive feedback and capable of implementing necessary changes swiftly.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Word, and a quick aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to changes and recognize areas for enhancement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and macros.
  • A strong entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative approach.
  • Knowledge of effective online research techniques.
Working Conditions:

Standard working hours typically range from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, though flexibility may be necessary to accommodate company operations across various time zones.
