As a Junior AML Compliance Analyst, you will work closely with various clients, including banking and non-banking entities, to assess financial transactions and reduce risks related to financial misconduct. Your responsibilities will include identifying and examining irregular financial activities to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies, particularly in executing Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols.

It is essential to apply sound judgment and discretion in your tasks while demonstrating the ability to operate effectively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and oversee transaction activities to detect potential suspicious behaviors.
  • Confirm client identities and evaluate their connections with financial institutions for KYC compliance.
  • Understand and apply client-operating guidelines concerning financial data.
  • Spot data irregularities and warning signs related to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions breaches, escalating findings for further review.
  • Follow established timelines and procedures to ensure the prompt and precise completion of assignments.
  • Prepare written documentation for evaluation by internal quality assurance teams and make necessary revisions based on their feedback.
  • Achieve production and quality benchmarks while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, company policies, and client requirements concerning Anti-Money Laundering.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
  • Must reside within a specified distance from our operational offices.
  • Skilled in producing clear and concise written narratives and summaries, effectively conveying recommendations and conclusions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Open to constructive feedback and capable of implementing changes swiftly.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and quick to learn new technologies.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and macros.
  • A strong entrepreneurial mindset coupled with a collaborative approach.
  • Familiarity with effective online research techniques.
Working Conditions:

Standard working hours typically range from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, though flexibility may be necessary based on operational needs across various time zones.
