SUMMARY
The role of the Assembler involves the meticulous assembly of various components including piping, valves, gauges, reliefs, burners, and other related equipment on pressure vessels and skids.

A successful candidate will demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, employing a strong work ethic to ensure that all quality standards are consistently met.

QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this position, candidates must be capable of performing each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for this role. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attendance at work is crucial for individual and team effectiveness. All employees are expected to maintain regular and punctual attendance. Responsibilities include:

  • Safe and proper operation of various hand, air, and power tools.
  • Identifying and inspecting all parts for defects to ensure quality output.
  • Inspecting connections to confirm proper sealing.
  • Documenting vessel parts and components accurately.
  • Preparing and securing parts or vessels for hydrostatic testing in accordance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards.
  • Assisting in the loading of shipments.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and adhering to company philosophy.
  • Following all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Cutting and threading pipe, as well as installing, aligning, and sealing flanged pipe.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 months of experience in heavy assembly, manufacturing, or material handling, or equivalent experience. Additional requirements include:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification to safely operate a Crane and Forklift.
  • Intermediate math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Willingness to learn about pressure gauges and their applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints and bills of materials.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Commitment to following quality and production policies and procedures, including defect detection.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Standing for extended periods, potentially for the entire shift.
  • Handling physically repetitive tasks.
  • Lifting requirements of up to 50 pounds.
  • A strong range of motion and the ability to perform various physical activities such as sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
  • Visual, auditory, and communicative capabilities to read instructions and operate measuring devices.
  • Manipulating tools and small parts with fingers and hands.
  • Walking over both even and uneven surfaces.
  • Working in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
  • Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Accessing all areas of the plant and grounds, including tight spaces.

SALARY
Minimum starting pay is $22/hour, dependent on experience.
