Aerospace Assembler

We are seeking an experienced Assembler to join our team at Sonaca North America. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and repairing sheet metal products, working from process specifications, work orders, blueprints, and verbal/written instructions.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble and repair sheet metal products, working from process specifications, work orders, blueprints, and verbal/written instructions.
- Interpret documents and instructions to determine sequence and methods to assemble and repair sheet metal products.
- Pull parts from bins and report any shortages to the Supervisor.
- Work with different gauge and type of sheet metal aluminum according to product specifications.
- Clean components and load component parts onto jigs/fixtures.
- Drill, ream, rivet, fit, countersink, adjust, finish, and inspect parts to ensure specifications are met.
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces.
- Call for inspection and work off rework to engineering to eliminate non-conformance.
- Scrutinize every facet of the job and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to the Supervisor.
- High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.
- Previous aircraft experience or sheet metal work is preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to put together work instructions and assemble parts.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with team members on a regular basis.
- Prior experience with blueprints and precision measuring devices a plus.
- Skilled at using a variety of small hand tools.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds.
