Central Sterilization Specialist

About the JobThe Central Sterilization Technician will be responsible for processing and sterilizing dental instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with SEARHC policies and procedures, as well as manufacturers' instructions and industry guidelines. This includes decontamination, packaging, and sterilization of instruments, as well as disinfection of equipment that cannot be sterilized.
A key aspect of this role is maintaining accurate records of all sterilization procedures, including interpretation of biological monitoring results and quality assurance checks to ensure sterilization parameters are met. Effective communication with dental providers and staff is also essential, particularly in problem-solving situations related to instrument shortages and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities- Perform multi-step procedures to effectively reprocess various dental instruments
- Maintain records for all sterilization procedures, including interpretation of biological monitoring results and quality assurance checks
- Communicate effectively with dental providers and staff to problem-solve and address equipment issues
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR certification
- 1-2 years of experience in a dental or medical clinic environment (preferred)
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
