Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Support Specialist to join our team at Koniag Data Solutions, LLC. This is a challenging opportunity for a professional with a strong background in configuring and supporting enterprise-class network hardware in a highly redundant environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with enterprise-class network hardware, including configuration and troubleshooting. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide network support for enterprise-class hardware systems.

This position is based in Washington, DC, and the selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of OPM's datacenter locations within 2 hours of an identified event.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer competitive benefits, including health insurance, 401K matching, paid holidays, and three weeks of paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configuring and supporting enterprise-class network hardware, ensuring uptime requirements are met.
  • Responding to errors and hardware exceptions independently.
  • Working both independently and within a team to provide network support for enterprise-class hardware systems.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in configuring and supporting enterprise-class network hardware.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using infrastructure tools for monitoring, configuration backups, incident reporting, and ticket tracking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Certifications:
  • AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
