Pipeline Engineering Specialist

Are you a skilled pipeline engineer looking for a challenging role? Do you have experience in designing and implementing natural gas and liquids pipelines?

We are seeking a highly motivated Pipeline Engineering Specialist to join our team at EnSiteUSA. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing general and specialized engineering services to support project management in the planning, analysis, estimating, and design of natural gas and liquids pipelines, compressor stations, measurement, regulation, and related facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Feasibility studies, FEED development, modeling, conceptual design, permitting, comprehensive understanding of process piping system design, project scope development, capital cost estimating, and project scheduling.
  • Design and installation of onshore natural gas or liquids pipeline systems, including measurement & regulation equipment, pigging facilities, mainline valves, and compressor stations.
  • Familiarity with pipeline survey and construction techniques.
  • Collaboration with a drafting and mapping team to produce alignment drawings and coordinate with ROW, environmental, and archaeological personnel.
  • Design of gas transmission, gathering, and distribution piping and facilities, gas storage, liquids pipelines, compressor stations, emergency shutdown, pipeline interconnects, block valve settings, pipeline pigging, odorization systems, dehydration, measurement and regulator stations, instrumentation and controls, interpretation and application of regulatory codes and standards, materials and equipment requisitioning, technical specifications, and engineering standards.
  • Work with multiple disciplines (civil, structural, I&E, etc.) and provide direction to drafting to develop PFD's, P&ID's, site plans, piping drawings, in order to create a construction set of drawings.
  • Complete pipe sizing and wall thickness calculations per client specifications.
  • Working knowledge of HCA's and class location studies per DOT.
  • Determine maximum field bending angles per client specifications and develop induction bend list for angles exceeding the maximum field bend angle.
  • Proficient with PHMSA DOT codes and API and ASME standards relating to pipeline design, materials, and installation.

Requirements:
  • E.I.T or P.E. Designation preferred.
  • $140,000 - $200,000 per year salary range based on relevant experience and education.
