Counselor for Deaf Youth

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at the American School for the Deaf. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a critical role in supporting the personal and social growth of deaf youth, promoting positive behavior, and fostering a sense of community within our residential program.

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong communication skills, patience, and empathy. You will work collaboratively with academic and residential staff to develop and implement individualized plans that meet the unique needs of each student.

In addition to your daily responsibilities, you will participate in ongoing staff training and in-service activities, including Physical/Psychological Management Training (PMT) workshops. Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum based on experience
