Aveanna Healthcare Private Duty Nurse RN Job Description

Aveanna Healthcare is a leading national provider of home health services to medically fragile children and adults. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse RN to join our team.

Job Summary:

As a Private Duty Nurse RN with Aveanna Healthcare, you will provide one-on-one care to our patients in their homes, assisting them with transitioning from the hospital and providing continuous care to remain at home with their loved ones. You will work closely with our patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Document care provided in our system of record
  • Teach and train family members on health promotion and disease management
  • Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required
  • Follow up with patients, families, and healthcare teams on client problems, concerns, and changes in client condition

Requirements:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation
