Cytotechnologist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and evaluation of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.

• Diagnose and evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological specimens using advanced cytology techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing specimens and slides.
• Investigate and document problems with unacceptable specimens.
• Follow established guidelines for troubleshooting instrument, reagent, or specimen problems.
• Comply with established laboratory and hospital policies for universal precautions and safety.
• Participate in staff meetings and promote effective working relationships.

• Bachelor's degree in Cytology or equivalent required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• American Society of Clinical Pathologist certification (CT-ASCP) preferred.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Diplomacy, tact, and a calm positive attitude.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk, and occasionally reach for prolonged periods of time.
