Senior Art Director

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is a leading integrated sports and entertainment company, boasting a diverse portfolio of seven major and minor sports teams, including the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, and Washington Mystics. Our organization is committed to delivering exceptional experiences for our fans, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Art Director to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive creative strategies for Team brand and seasonal campaigns across various channels, including print, digital, linear, and in-arena.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing team leads to understand specific business objectives and creative needs, ensuring seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Lead the development of seasonal Team creative, mentoring and guiding a team of designers to build compelling campaigns and finalize selected campaigns into toolkits for company-wide use.
  • Conceptualize and implement innovative design solutions, working with project managers, design colleagues, and content specialists to deliver outstanding fan experiences.
  • Present creative concepts to internal marketing and business leaders, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Supervise department content, providing mentorship, encouragement, and constructive feedback to foster growth and development within the design team.
  • Recruit, mentor, and train members of the design team, specializing in various disciplines within creative design.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of professional design experience, with a proven track record of leading and supporting creative teams.
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Experience with CMS systems and website creation platforms, such as Wix and Square-space, is a plus.
  • Ability to clearly present design concepts and ideas, with a strong portfolio of previous design work to showcase experience and creativity.
  • Strong work ethic, with a desire to meet client expectations and deliver high-quality results.
  • Positive, results-driven attitude, with excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
