Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ready Mix Driver to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Tyrone, GA. As a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for delivering concrete to job sites in a timely and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Ready Mix Concrete to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain vehicle in a clean and organized condition
  • Perform minor roadside repairs and ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Inspect mix, slump, and verify load size to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Provide excellent customer service and work closely with dispatch to ensure quickest and safest routes to jobs
  • Assemble concrete chutes and operate chute controls during the pour
  • Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and company regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A or B
  • Proficient reading, writing, and math skills
  • 3-4 years vehicle road experience operating multi-speed transmission of a Commercial vehicle
  • Good driving record and valid medical card
  • Concrete knowledge and experience preferred
  • Mechanical background or skills preferred
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift and assemble concrete chutes weighing 60 lbs
