Job Title: Hunger Relief Advocate
Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hunger Relief Advocate. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Grants team in acquiring and stewarding grants for Feeding Tampa Bay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update the "Quick Facts" document with the latest statistics on food insecurity, poverty rates, and other key metrics in our 10-county area.
- Collaborate with the grants and marketing teams to update organization overviews and messaging in alignment with new branding and mission.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in data using reliable sources such as Feeding America, government reports, and academic studies.
- Conduct research to support grant applications, strategic planning, and program development.
- Track best practices in areas like hunger relief, food distribution, and nonprofit program effectiveness.
- Help write and edit internal documents, proposals, and reports to align with Feeding Tampa Bay's branding and messaging standards.
Requirements:
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, and PhD students are eligible for placement in Feeding Tampa Bay's internship program.
- PREFERRED MAJORS: Communications, Professional or Technical Writing, English, Public Policy, Political Science, Nonprofit Management, Philanthropy, or Social Sciences.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and writing.
- Ability to update and manage detailed documents and statistics.
- Comfortable with academic research methods and presenting data in clear reports.
Estimated Salary: $25,000 - $30,000 per year.
