Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, feeding, and ambulating, while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Assist with Technical Skills: Perform technical skills that incorporate the patient's plan of care and comfort measures, as directed by the nursing staff.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant information.
- Clerical and Unit Clerk Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, such as receiving and assisting visitors, tracking lost charges, and completing paperwork and computer entries.
- Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to safety and infection control procedures, including proper waste removal, maintaining a clean environment, and following BRGMC policies and procedures.
- Certification or Experience: Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, Basic EMT Certification, Military Medic experience, or Nursing Student with completion of fundamental nursing clinical in RN program.
- Knowledge and Skills: Maintain knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations, safety practices, and BRGMC policies and procedures.
This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly in response to patient needs. A high level of physical stamina and endurance is necessary to perform the duties of this position.
