About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for child welfare to join our team as a Foster Care Case Manager. In this critical position, you will provide case management services to children and their families placed in out-of-home care through the court system.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of working with children, coupled with exceptional interpersonal and critical thinking skills. You will be responsible for creating and executing permanency plans for children under the custody of the Children's Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized permanency plans for children in foster care
  • Provide case management services to children and their families, including assessment, planning, and coordination of services
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, therapists, and other stakeholders, to ensure comprehensive support for children and families
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case activities, progress, and outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in foster care or child welfare
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in the field of child welfare
