Job Title: Vice President, Regulatory Counsel

CoBank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Regulatory Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's compliance with relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal and regulatory guidance to the bank's programs and policies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel to develop and implement comprehensive policies and practices related to FCA compliance matters.
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with the FCA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the bank at meetings with the FCA and other regulatory bodies, and develop and present information on legal matters.
  • Work with the SVP Regulatory Affairs to analyze and develop comment letters on proposed regulations and guidance.
  • Develop and maintain compliance manuals, policies, and directives, and related documentation.
Requirements:
  • JD from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in good standing.
  • 10 years of relevant experience with a corporate legal department, law firm, and/or governmental or regulatory entity.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations affecting regulated financial institutions.
  • Proven skills in complex, oral, written, and interpersonal communications, and negotiation.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.
