About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in our Operating Room team, assisting staff during operative and invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care by assisting staff during operative and invasive procedures
  • Ensure the operating room is adequately prepared for procedures and act as a preceptor for other techs as needed
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping and Central Processing staff to clean the Operating Rooms and equipment between patients following facility policies and procedures
  • Participate in safety initiatives to ensure correct surgery identification, verification of the procedure to be performed, and accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts
  • Adhere to patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, and adherence to isolation procedures
