Position Overview

Glenville State University seeks a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of Graduate Assistant within the Division II Sports Information Office. This position will involve a 10-month annual commitment under the supervision of the Sports Information Director.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate game day activities and event management.
  • Support the management and execution of the department's social media initiatives.
  • Assist the Sports Information Director with daily operational tasks.
  • Contribute to the administrative functions within the athletic department.
  • Help maintain the Athletic Department's website.
  • Participate in weekly nominations for Athlete of the Week for the MEC and other departmental awards.
  • Oversee the department's hallway displays honoring First-Team All-MEC performers.
  • Engage in fundraising and community service projects.
  • Learn and assist in creative endeavors such as statistics, photography, graphic design, and video production.

Qualifications
  • Must be registered and enrolled in a graduate program at Glenville State University.
  • Possess an undergraduate degree.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Show proficiency in organizational tasks.
  • Possess solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have basic computer skills.
