About the Role

The Medical Support Specialist will provide vital support to our clinical staff, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care and services. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to nursing staff, including clerical duties, receptionist functions, and patient service coordination.
  • Assist with various nursing care services, such as personal care, comfort measures, and basic medical procedures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient services and supplies provided.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients and colleagues.
Requirements
  • HSD or equivalent required; nursing student with completed clinical rotation or CNA certification preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS/HCP certification mandatory.
  • 6 months of acute care experience as a CNA, preferably in pediatric settings.
  • Recent experience in acute care or working with pediatric patients is an asset.
  • Knowledge of medical record keeping and medical terminology is beneficial.
