Childcare Afterschool Site Director

At the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Afterschool Site Director to oversee the daily operations and management of our afterschool program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, engagement, and well-being of our children.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations and management of the afterschool program
- Plan and schedule daily activities for enrollees
- Supervise and coach part-time Group Leaders
- Manage the supervision, safety, and program implementation for enrollees
- Ensure compliance with Texas Department of Health and Human Services licensing requirements
- Manage supply expenses, inventory, ordering, and storage management
- Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity among children
- Maintain a strong, positive relationship with local YMCA personnel and parents
- Must qualify for Texas Department of Health and Human Services state license
- Minimum age: 21 years; Education: High School Degree/G.E.D. or higher
- At least 1-year previous experience in childcare or other recognized facility with a bachelor's degree OR 2 years of full-time experience working in licensed childcare with at least 70 credit hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership, or management without a bachelor's degree
- Complete required childcare training aligned with the YMCA, Texas Health and Human Services, Texas Workforce, and Texas Rising Star
- Participate in all scheduled staff meetings, training, and any other events deemed necessary by the Program Director
