Position Overview:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the home health sector, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients in their own residences. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those you serve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor vital signs including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy living environment for patients.
  • Assist patients with mobility, bathing, personal hygiene, and toileting needs.
  • Prepare and assist with meal service, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and other related environmental services.
  • Observe, document, and report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Understand basic human anatomy and report any significant changes in patient health.
  • Recognize emergency situations and follow established emergency protocols.
  • Adhere to infection control procedures and safety measures as per care center policies.
  • Follow specific care plans and written instructions for personal care.
  • Assist patients with prescribed exercises as directed by nursing or therapy staff.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current state certification as a nurse assistant in accordance with state regulations.
  • Experience as a CNA within the past two years; if more than two years have passed, re-training is necessary.
  • Ability to successfully complete the competency evaluation of the care center.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
