Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Preschool Teacher to join our team at Hills & Dales Child Development Center. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing monthly and daily lesson plans, managing student behavior, and maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Classroom Management: Implement daily lesson plans and activities, manage student behavior, and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
  2. Instructional Support: Provide instructional assistance to students, including health and personal habits, mealtime expectations, and diapering and dressing.
  3. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of student progress, including daily observations, activities, meals served, and medications administered.
  4. Communication: Maintain daily communication with parents and guardians, and ensure confidentiality of records and information.
  5. Professional Development: Participate in professional development training to enhance qualifications and stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.
  2. Licensure: Current Iowa Teaching License for early childhood from the BOEE, or Elementary Education Teaching License with the understanding of completing early childhood classes to obtain early childhood education license.
  3. Background Check: Free from a conviction or prior employment history of child or resident abuse or dependent adult abuse.
  4. Driver's License: Valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicle.
  5. Training: Complete CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions, Mandatory Reporting, Better Kid Care NSO, and Essentials Child Care Preservice Series in the first three months of employment, and 10 contact hours of child-related training annually.
