We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team at Charter Communications. As a GIS Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and maintenance of our geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Data Collection and Management: Collect, edit, and process GIS and mapping data from various sources to produce tools and products that meet internal and external customer requirements.
- GIS System Administration: Import, export, and convert mapping resources and data into GIS systems and platforms, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Geospatial Analysis: Utilize Feature Manipulation Engine platform(s) to translate spatial data between geometric and digital formats, and perform advanced process and analysis functions to develop and maintain our GIS.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Perform quality control checks on completed projects and ensure the integrity and security of the data stored in the GIS and related/integrated databases.
- Technical Consultation: Provide technical consultation to a wide range of technical and non-technical employees using the GIS to compile reports and studies.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience with mapping tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Carto 3+, as well as experience with GPS measuring tools and working with and controlling a large number of evolving datasets.
- Skills: Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python, and experience with CAD derived data within a GIS environment.
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Surveying, Engineering, or a degree qualification in GIS.
