Job Overview

Position: Apprentice Electrician

Lone Star Instrumentation & Electric Corporation is seeking a dedicated Apprentice Electrician to support the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and related equipment. We are looking for a full-time individual who demonstrates a strong work ethic and takes pride in delivering quality results safely and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced electricians with various tasks related to electrical maintenance, repair, and construction.
  • Prepare and assemble necessary tools and equipment for specific projects.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces by disposing of scrap materials appropriately.
  • Help in the upkeep of protective gear, including hot sticks and rubber equipment.
  • Utilize a range of hand and power tools effectively.
  • Support the loading of materials onto vehicles as required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of materials and processes for stripping and terminating cables.
  • Exhibit physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, sitting, crouching, and lifting heavy items exceeding 100 pounds.
  • Accurately read and document meter readings.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical work.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.
  • Flexible availability and willingness to travel for on-call duties.
  • High School Diploma or GED is necessary.
