Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the NICU department at Johnson City Medical Center. As a skilled and compassionate nurse, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations, in accordance with established standards of practice and organizational policies.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills in areas such as neonatal resuscitation, ventilation, and pharmacology.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or diploma from an accredited Nursing program.
  • Valid and active RN licensure from the state of Tennessee.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications may be required depending on the area of practice.
Work Environment

This is a night shift position, working 7p-7a. The nurse will be required to wear a respirator mask and other personal protective apparel as indicated in the provision of patient care.

This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The nurse must be able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
