Job DescriptionAs an X-Ray Technologist at Radiology Associates of Hartford PC, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized x-ray and radiographic procedures and examinations for radiological diagnosis. You must accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare, and operate the X-ray equipment, associated software, devices, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
- Maintain communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other people.
- Document all patient related information in radiology information system in a timely manner based on patient and radiologist workflow.
- Perform quality control and reporting tasks, setting up and conducting X-ray procedures, maintaining day-to-day schedules, assisting radiologist, and contributing to the efficient operation of the department assuring the quality and continuity of patient care.
- Screens patients, employees, and visitors to maintain a magnetically safe environment according to the American College of Radiology standards.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), X-ray certification required within 12 months of employment.
- Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (RTR). Connecticut Radiographer License.
- Two years of x-ray technologist experience.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
