About the Role
As an integral member of our Media Systems Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design, integration, and upkeep of our audio-visual infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure that our content review rooms, recording studios, and conferencing systems operate seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
1. Maintain and support integrated audio-visual systems, including hardware and software components.
2. Provide technical assistance for conference and content review spaces.
3. Offer day-to-day support at our facilities and collaborate with regional engineering teams.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption.
5. Respond promptly to emergency requests for professional audio-visual systems.
6. Support live events, including sound reinforcement and video conferencing.
7. Organize and maintain engineering labs and storage areas.
8. Assist with administrative tasks, asset management, and documentation updates.
9. Manage the shipping and receiving of audio-visual equipment for inventory and repairs.
10. Collaborate with the Media Systems Engineering team on special projects and event technology support.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support role, focusing on audio-visual systems.
- Proficiency in reading and creating signal flow diagrams and understanding various cable types.
- A solid grasp of audio and video signals, including sampling rates and resolutions.
- Familiarity with audio-visual platforms such as Zoom and Dante.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and patient demeanor.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
- Physical capability to lift equipment weighing over 50 lbs.
Preferred Skills
While not mandatory, the following skills are advantageous:
- Basic knowledge of tools such as voltage meters and soldering equipment.
- Experience with basic construction tasks, such as mounting displays.
- Understanding of networking principles.
