Production Improvement Lead

We're seeking an experienced Production Improvement Lead to join our team in Austin, TX. As a key member of our production engineering team, you will be responsible for driving cost and quality improvements across our manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Engineering: Define and evaluate designs for manufacturability, identify root causes of manufacturing failures, and engage in daily production and problem-solving.
  • Capital Equipment Purchases: Justify and implement capital equipment purchases to improve manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Process Control Methodologies: Develop and own process control methodologies to ensure consistency and quality in our products.
  • Troubleshooting and Cycle Time Reduction: Troubleshoot process issues and improve cycle times to increase productivity and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics.
  • 6 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry.
  • Understanding of PLCs (ABB preferred).
  • Experience with Minitab highly preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma/DRM Green Belt highly preferred.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience is preferred.
