Key Responsibilities:

This job description outlines the essential duties regularly assigned. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management as needed.

  • Conduct thorough cleaning of patient rooms, including bed changes and stocking supplies, while coordinating with patient movements.
  • Disinfect isolation areas as required.
  • Manage the collection and transportation of soiled linens, ensuring clean linens are delivered to departments.
  • Handle waste management, including trash, medical waste, and pharmaceutical waste, in compliance with regulations.
  • Perform cleaning duties across clinical and non-clinical departments as per established guidelines.
  • Maintain floors through dust mopping, wet mopping, scrubbing, and burnishing.
  • Utilize various cleaning equipment, both mechanical and electrical, such as floor machines and carpet extractors, ensuring proper cleaning and storage post-use.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.

General Requirements:
No specific requirements.

Work Experience:

  • Prior cleaning experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Experience operating floor care equipment is advantageous.

Education:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.

Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for understanding instructions and responding to needs.
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision.
