Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct behavioral services and consultation to students across various grade levels.
  • Conduct thorough Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
  • Develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to each student's needs, ensuring clear goals, strategies, and data collection methods.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to classroom staff on BIP implementation, fostering a collaborative approach to behavior management.
  • Analyze data collected by teachers to monitor the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments to BIPs.
  • Address behavioral concerns promptly, providing crisis intervention as needed to ensure student safety and well-being.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's behavioral progress and collaborate on strategies for home support.
  • Assist teachers in developing and implementing discrete trial programs to address specific learning goals.
  • Contribute to the development of visual aids and materials that enhance BIP implementation and student understanding.
  • Conduct observations and provide consultations for additional students and classrooms as required.
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and other relevant school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as Applied Behavior Analysis or Special Education.
  • BCBA Certification (or LABA certification) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Proven experience conducting FBAs and developing effective BIPs in educational settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and concise interactions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable.
