About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasounds and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasounds, including transabdominal and transvaginal studies, fetal echocardiography, and nuchal translucency and nasal bone assessments.
  • Diagnose and analyze fetal anomalies and growth disturbances in partnership with our MFM physicians.
  • Assist MFM physicians with history taking, presentation of complex cases, and performance of invasive fetal procedures.
  • Practice sterile technique and prevent cross contamination.
  • Travel to outreach clinics as needed and assist with patient transfers and immobilization.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Registered or eligible for certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Ob/Gyn.
  • Fetal echocardiography certified or willing to pursue certification shortly after starting.
  • Nuchal Translucency & Nasal Bone Certification required after 1 year in the office.
  • Mandatory reporter certification and CPR certification.
