Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine team on a PRN basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasounds, providing patient education, and assisting physicians in complex cases.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasounds, including transabdominal and transvaginal studies, fetal echocardiography, and nuchal translucency and nasal bone assessments.
  • Provide patient education and explanation of procedures to ensure patients understand the examination to be performed.
  • Assist physicians in history taking, presentation of complex cases, and interpretation of technical aspects of completed examinations.
  • Perform invasive fetal procedures, practice sterile technique, and prevent cross contamination.
  • Travel to outreach clinics as needed and assist in patient transfer and immobilization.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Registered or eligible for certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Ob/Gyn.
  • Fetal echocardiography certified or willing to pursue certification shortly after starting.
  • Nuchal Translucency & Nasal Bone Certification required after 1 year in the office.
  • Mandatory reporter certification and CPR certification.
