At Assure Health LLC, we are committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered. We are seeking a part-time Intake Therapist to join our team.
Job Summary:The Intake Therapist will coordinate Positive Leaps intake and assessment activities to ensure quality of services to families and children. This role requires a strong understanding of mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Intake Specialist to coordinate and monitor potential clients through the referral and admission process.
- Build and maintain relationships with families, consumers, and the community throughout services.
- Conduct mental health assessments to determine mental health diagnosis, and medical necessity for required level of care.
- Communicate effectively with parents, peers, consumers, Team Members and supervisors in all departments to assist with admissions.
- Prepare, update and maintain documentation and records related to admission.
- Ensure compliance with requirements of all funding sources relevant to admission, including pre-authorization for admission.
- Provide clinical and case management services to families and children relative to admission proceedings.
- Facilitate intake process such that admission to required level of care is timely, paperwork is accurate and complete, financial plan is complete, and consumer is satisfied.
- Master's degree from an accredited Social Work or Counseling Program.
- Licensed by the State of Ohio as a social worker (LSW) or counselor (LPC) or having obtained independent licensure (LISW/LPCC).
- At least two years' experience providing therapeutic mental health services to, and diagnosing children with mental health problems.
- Comfortable with part-time 1099 position.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance as travel between offices is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, including at least 9 assessment appointments per week.
- Ability to run and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Work schedule must be flexible as needed.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks within assigned work hours and timelines.
- Potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Works directly with physically aggressive children.
- Exposed to loud noise, such as repeated and prolonged screaming and crying.
- Expected to be able to run, work easily in a physically active environment and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Fast paced, stressful environment.
$65 per completed assessment
