Senior Safety Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Manager to join our team at ManpowerGroup. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing and managing our site's safety, health, and risk management programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the OSHA PSM program to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement the ChemStewards program to minimize chemical risks.
  • Participate in pre-startup safety reviews to ensure equipment is safe for operation.
  • Manage safety and health programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, NFPA, and TCPA regulations.
  • Review Management of Change submittals for safety and health requirements.
  • Manage the Industrial Hygiene program to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety and health training programs to ensure employee knowledge and compliance.
  • Manage the Emergency Response Team to ensure preparedness and response to emergencies.
  • Audit safety and health programs to ensure compliance and report findings to departmental managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety and Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in the chemical and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of ChemStewards, OSHA VPP, ISO, or other management systems is a plus.
  • CSP or CIH certification is a plus.
