Position Summary

The Grounds Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep of the natural grass and synthetic turf fields at both the Red Bull Training Facility and Red Bull Arena. This role involves collaborating with a dedicated team of full-time and part-time staff to ensure the highest standards of field maintenance, equipment care, irrigation, and landscaping.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties Include:

  • Executing pesticide application and maintaining all playing surfaces at both facilities.
  • Conducting inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance on all grounds equipment and irrigation systems.
  • Assisting during soccer matches and field-related events.
  • Performing horticultural and landscaping duties as required.
  • Participating in snow removal and de-icing operations.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess:

  • Enrollment in or graduation from a turf management, horticulture, or related program at an accredited institution, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with the tools, equipment, and procedures relevant to grounds and sports field maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop effective maintenance strategies.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and maneuvering equipment.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a New Jersey pesticide certification.
