POSITION OVERVIEW
The role involves supporting the DCGS-N Family of Systems (FoS), which encompasses various components such as DCGS-N INC 1 Block 1, INC 1 Block 2, INC 2, the DCGS-N Enterprise Node (DEN), the Joint Concentrator Architecture (JCA), and the Intelligence Carry On Program (ICOP). This system serves as the Navy's leading platform for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations.
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the integration and testing of intelligence software within the System Engineering Division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the operational integrity of the installed systems, including tasks such as patching and reinstallation.
- Serve as the primary support engineer, managing user accounts in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and local security protocols.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and document system-related issues effectively.
- Collaborate with the NIWCLant engineering team to develop and implement solutions.
- Engage with Information Assurance (IA) teams to address vulnerabilities and conduct system scans.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; additional experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Possession of IAT II Certifications to comply with DoD 8140 standards, including CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent), along with training or certifications in Windows, Linux, VMWare, and Cisco (CCNP/CCNA).
- Experience in Linux, Windows 11 SHB, and Windows Server 2019/22 SHB environments.
- Eligibility for a Secret Clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with Dell Windows Servers, NetApp Storage solutions, and Cisco networking devices, including firewalls and cryptographic devices.
- Experience with MS Windows 11 SHB, Windows Server 2019/22 SHB, VMWare (vCenter, vSphere, ESXi), MS Hyper-V, and container technologies like Kubernetes.
- Ability to work effectively both remotely and within a collaborative team of skilled professionals.
- Background in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance operations or the Distributed Common Ground System.
- Basic networking knowledge and experience with Intel operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $117,500. This range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation. Factors influencing the final offer may include job responsibilities, education, experience, and market alignment.
