Position Overview:

Johns Hopkins Medical Management Corporation is seeking a dedicated Patient Service Coordinator to enhance the patient experience within our healthcare facilities. As part of our esteemed organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every patient encounter is handled with the utmost professionalism and care.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Weekend rotations may be required

Compensation: $21 - $22 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all administrative (non-clinical) functions related to patient interactions, striving to create an Ideal Patient Encounter.
  • Provide friendly and professional assistance to all patients, ensuring a positive experience at our facilities.
  • Accurately input scheduling details into the computer system within established timeframes.
  • Effectively coordinate patient appointments across various departments, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Proactively fill appointment vacancies due to cancellations with new patient bookings.
  • Assign patient history numbers promptly upon check-in.
  • Ensure all documentation, including laboratory requisitions and encounter forms, is accurately stamped with patient information.
  • Conduct pre-appointment interviews with patients and/or family members via telephone.
  • Greet and interview patients and their families to gather or confirm complete registration details.
  • Clearly explain procedures to new patients in accordance with departmental protocols.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in using multi-line telephones, computers, copiers, calculators, fax machines, and various computer systems including scheduling and registration software.
  • Familiarity with business, insurance, and medical terminology is essential.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is required.
