Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician III to join our team at FirstService Residential, a leading provider of property management services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with the ability to handle a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our properties.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. They will also diagnose and repair issues with building infrastructure and equipment, respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management, and conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential problems.

Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs is also a critical aspect of this role. The candidate will collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects efficiently, ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes, and assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with building infrastructure and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and schedules.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
