Job Summary

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team in a Lab Facility in Marco Island, FL.

We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and are looking for individuals who share our passion for delivering high-quality services. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of blood sample collection and processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients for medical testing or donation.
  • Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of blood samples.
  • Assemble and maintain equipment, such as needles, test tubes, and blood vials.
  • Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform verification of patient demographic info/initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
  • Maintains required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent – Required.
  • Phlebotomy Certification – Preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of experience – Required
  • One (+) years of phlebotomy experience – Preferred
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training – Preferred
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment - Preferred
  • Keyboard/data entry experience – Required
