The Electrical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment utilized in the production of titanium bar and wire products. This role encompasses working with A/C and D/C motors, PLC and HMI systems, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems, alongside new production line setups and power distribution frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembles, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical systems.
  • Modifies electrical configurations to rectify operational discrepancies.
  • Possesses knowledge of programming and troubleshooting PLCs.
  • Identifies causes of electrical or mechanical failures in operational equipment and executes preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Contributes to the creation of wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system modifications or expansions, guiding personnel in routine installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Conducts and documents periodic electrical testing, recommending or initiating modifications or replacements for equipment that does not meet operational standards.
  • Recognizes potential areas for product and process enhancements; aids in developing suitable solutions.
  • Participates in the innovation of new methods to enhance product quality and automation.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, along with 5 years of industrial or manufacturing experience; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in PLCs (Siemens preferred), HMI, SCADA, and networking.
  • Experience with AC and DC motor drive systems.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems ranging from 480V to 25Kv.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E and OSHA standards.
  • Competent in AutoCad.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capability to identify, evaluate, and resolve issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Experience

  • A minimum of five years in a manufacturing or industrial setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education

  • Associate's degree or higher.
