Licensed Physical Therapist

At Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute, a specialized 38-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for individuals requiring continued support in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and take responsibility for the treatment provided by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy technicians. May include training staff and students, as well as fulfilling supervisory duties in the absence of the designated supervisor.
- Evaluate patient needs, determine and implement suitable physical therapy interventions, and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to uphold high standards of professional practice.
- Monitor and assess treatment effectiveness, track progress towards both short-term and long-term rehabilitation goals, and recommend adjustments to the treatment plan as necessary.
- Conduct thorough assessments for each patient and perform follow-up evaluations in accordance with established protocols. Ensure timely quality improvement scoring. The patient demographic primarily includes adults and seniors in need of comprehensive medical rehabilitation services.
- Identify and address patient pain that may hinder optimal functional recovery and participation in rehabilitation activities; initiate appropriate interventions and liaise with physicians as required.
- Develop and continuously update individualized care plans tailored to each patient's physical therapy needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
