At Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute, a specialized 38-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals requiring extensive rehabilitation services. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in an interdisciplinary team focused on facilitating recovery and enhancing the quality of life for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of the care provided to patients under the supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy technicians. You may also guide new staff and students, stepping into supervisory roles when necessary.
- Evaluate patient needs, establish and implement suitable physical therapy interventions, and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to uphold high standards of practice and teamwork.
- Monitor and assess treatment outcomes, ensuring the achievement of both short-term and long-term rehabilitation goals. Propose modifications to treatment plans to the physician as required.
- Conduct thorough assessments for each patient and perform follow-up evaluations in accordance with established protocols. Ensure timely quality improvement scoring, focusing on adult and geriatric patients in need of medical rehabilitation.
- Identify and address patient pain that may hinder optimal recovery and participation in rehabilitation activities; initiate appropriate interventions and coordinate with physicians as necessary.
- Develop and regularly update individualized care plans tailored to each patient's physical therapy needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the rehabilitation program.
- Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the relevant state.
- Preferred experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
