Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide per diem services within the medical department. This role is essential in maintaining the health and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse will be accountable for:

  • Adhering to established nursing standards and practices.
  • Delivering comprehensive care while ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Overseeing treatment services to prevent misuse and duplication.
  • Evaluating and suggesting improvements for operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participating in monthly healthcare staff meetings as required.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Keeping precise records of controlled substances, narcotics, and sharp instruments in line with relevant laws.
  • Offering health counseling to patients.
  • Conducting sick calls and providing provisional diagnoses and treatments for minor ailments and injuries.
  • Observing, documenting, and reporting patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, contributing to the nursing care plan.
  • Implementing treatment plans that promote and restore patient health.
  • Conducting vital sign assessments and comprehensive evaluations at the start of each shift, documenting findings for all patients in the medical and mental health units.

This role includes a two-week orientation period where on-the-job training and shadowing with experienced nursing staff will occur.

Qualifications:

The RN position is dynamic and requires an individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks while demonstrating strong patient assessment skills. Essential qualifications include:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the relevant state.
  • Strong clinical decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while showcasing clinical proficiency.
  • Capability to establish trust and rapport with patients.
