Job Title: Drafting Technician II

At Precision Castparts Corp, we are seeking a highly skilled Drafting Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for generating and maintaining engineering product and die drawings using CAD/CAM software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating and releasing product, detailed tooling, and assembly drawings
  • Providing technical support in the areas of routings, quotations, dimensional deviation layouts, and issuing rework instructions
  • Creating CAD layouts for NPI cost estimations and providing CAD support for engineering efforts related to mass update projects
  • Maintaining WGH CAD and drawing vault systems and adhering to development timelines
Requirements:
  • High level expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Drafting
  • Functional understanding of GD&T standards and requirements
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interface with multiple disciplines within WGH
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma plus at least 3 years of CAD experience/training
  • Preferable with Siemens NX
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical and industrial engineering
  • Prior CAD/CAM experience in closed-die forged product design
