As a Child Life Specialist PRN at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support and education to children and their families during difficult medical experiences. Your expertise in child development and developmentally appropriate interventions will help prepare and support children through challenging tests, procedures, and treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and education to children and their families
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate interventions to meet the unique needs of each child and family
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to advocate for the needs of children and their families
- Provide opportunities for children to engage in normal play and recreational activities in the medical environment
Requirements:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Child Life Certification within 1 year of employment start date
- Bachelor's Degree
