Occupational Therapist Assistant

As a skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with stretching and exercising specific muscle groups as directed by the Physical Therapist. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will ensure effective treatment and patient progress. You will work directly with the Physical Therapist to provide hands-on support to patients during therapy sessions, communicate with patients' families to suggest effective at-home techniques, and maintain a clean and organized physical therapy environment. Additionally, you will perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing paperwork, to support clinic operations. Responsibilities:
Assist patients with stretching and exercising specific muscle groups as directed by the Physical Therapist
Follow detailed instructions provided by the Physical Therapist to ensure effective treatment and patient progress
Work directly with the Physical Therapist to provide hands-on support to patients during therapy sessions
Communicate with patients' families to suggest effective at-home techniques
Maintain a clean and organized physical therapy environment
Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing paperwork, to support clinic operations
Requirements:
Active [STATE] Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in good standing
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant or in a similar role
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems
