About the Role

As a software developer on the Prime Video team, you will play a key role in building and maintaining our metadata system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience with high-throughput systems.

The Alchemist system is the single source of truth for all Prime Video metadata, providing a low-latency, high-throughput platform that delivers all necessary metadata to build pages on various devices across multiple marketplaces.

We are looking for a talented engineer who can contribute to the design, development, and operation of this critical system.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new features and enhancements for the Alchemist system
  • Collaborate with senior engineers from client and services teams to understand their needs and requirements
  • Work closely with the API team to ensure seamless integration and communication between systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with designing and developing high-throughput systems
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, with a base pay range of $129,300/year to $223,600/year.
