Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Manager will partner with the Vice President of Supply Chain to ensure strategic and tactical initiatives within transportation and warehouse operations are carried out while process improvements, innovation, and operational efficiencies are identified and achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Vice President of Supply Chain to manage strategic and tactical alignment with the Executive Leadership Team; collaborate with Vice President of Supply Chain in delivering KPIs in support of strategic initiatives
  • Implement process improvements to improve throughput and quality
  • Oversee daily activities of direct reports; monitor employee morale, regularly engage with employees, and assess the ability of departmental leaders to foster high employee job satisfaction
  • Provide focus, feedback, and support to direct reports in their effort to train, motivate, develop, mentor, and discipline departmental team members; work on succession plans to assure business continuity
Additional Responsibilities
  • Foster a strong culture of safety and quality throughout departments by partnering with the Risk and Organizational Compliance Manager and Quality Assurance to create and implement trainings, safe practices, and hazard awareness at all levels
  • Monitor and partner with Vice President of Supply Chain on departmental budgets and work with direct reports to ensure expenditures are within company guidelines
Requirements
  • Ensure the continuous monitoring, remediation, and improved conditions of the Distribution facilities, as well as general company grounds and working environments
  • Inventory management at all locations; Eugene and remote third-party warehouses. Some travel required.
Leadership and Development
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching/mentoring, and development of the Distribution Team; build and sustain retention and engagement through monitoring performance and providing regular, timely feedback
  • Support departmental goals and execute improvement initiatives to achieve goals aligned with current business objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Establish expectations to create accountability using a Strength Based approach
