Position Overview

The Sunflower Development Center is currently looking for a per-diem Augmentative and Alternative Communication Evaluator. This role is essential in delivering thorough AAC services, which encompass screening, assessment, and collaboration with onsite Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Clinical Fellows (CFs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing AAC evaluation services, which include screening, assessment, report generation, programming, implementation, and follow-up.
  • Ensuring all documentation and paperwork for billing and insurance purposes are completed accurately.
  • Staying informed and updated on the latest advancements in AAC technology and methodologies.
  • Providing training and support to parents and staff regarding AAC systems.
  • Maintaining a valid ASHA certification and a Massachusetts SLP license.
  • Possessing knowledge and expertise in programming various AAC systems.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid Massachusetts SLP License.
  • Must possess Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs).
