Job Summary:

The LVN - RMC Job Opening is a civilian position at MacDill Air Force Base. In this role, you will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and referrals. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating with specialty referral clinics, submitting referrals for medical necessity and appropriateness review, and tracking initial specialty care and deferred referrals.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient care and referrals to specialty clinics
  • Submit referrals for medical necessity and appropriateness review
  • Track initial specialty care and deferred referrals
  • Provide patient education on specialty care and patient diagnosis
  • Conduct first-level reviews for all referrals to specialty care
Requirements:
  • 2 years of healthcare administrative experience in an inpatient or outpatient care setting within the last 3 years
  • Graduate from a NLNAC or CCNE accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted LVN license in any U.S. state
  • Working knowledge of TRICARE and facility security
  • Ability to interpret and apply medical care criteria, such as InterQual or Milliman Ambulatory Care Guidelines
